A browse is a tabular list of information. Pointing at a line in a browse, then doing some action on it is the normal way of doing things.
The total lines in a browse can be very large; for example, you may have many thousands of products in your product catalogue. Nearly all browses have a locator function that allows you to quickly find the relevant part of the list. See Locating an item for information on how to do this.
