All reports and documents can be pre-routed according to their type. This is achieved by attaching appropriate print queues and paper designs to the layout record associated with the document type.

Every type of document, quotation, dispatch note, invoice, etc., has a default associated with it that identifies the layout to use for that type of document. Changing this default and/or the details of its layout record is all that is involved in pre-routing a document.
